Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Shift Leader to supervise and support laboratory operations involving the chemical analysis of crude oil, petroleum products, fuels, lubricants, and related samples.
• The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy and reliability of analytical results, compliance with international laboratory standards, and effective coordination of laboratory personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and supervise chemical analyses of petroleum and petroleum-related products.
• Ensure testing is conducted in accordance with ASTM, IP, GOST, API, and applicable laboratory procedures.
• Review analytical results to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with specifications.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analytical instruments.
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to Chemists and Laboratory Technicians.
• Implement and monitor Quality Control (QC) and Statistical Quality Control (SQC) procedures.
• Monitor QC charts, identify analytical deviations, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory quality management requirements, including ISO/IEC 17025 principles.
• Maintain accurate laboratory documentation, analytical records, and test reports.
• Use Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for sample registration, result entry, and reporting.
• Support laboratory method verification, validation, and continuous improvement.
• Participate in internal and external audits, proficiency testing, and laboratory investigations.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, including safe chemical handling and proper use of PPE.
• Support laboratory personnel training and competency development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry – Mandatory.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant laboratory experience in the petroleum, oil & gas, or petroleum products industry.
• Practical experience in petroleum product testing and chemical analysis.
• Knowledge of ASTM, IP, GOST, and other relevant laboratory testing standards.
• Understanding of laboratory quality control procedures and ISO/IEC 17025 principles.
• Experience operating laboratory analytical equipment.
• Familiarity with LIMS and laboratory documentation processes.
• Ability to supervise laboratory activities and provide technical guidance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• English proficiency: Minimum Intermediate level.
